On March 23, Premier Doug Ford announced that only “essential” businesses were to remain open for a two-week period starting March 24 at 11:59pm. The full list of “essential” businesses released by the Province can be found here. We are happy to say that our services meet the classification of “essential”, and therefore we are maintaining our operations in a fashion consistent with the above.
Prime Minister Trudeau has also announced several measures taken to assist Canadians during these trying times. Below are links we believe are useful based on our current understanding of these measures.
- Temporary Wage Subsidy for Employers
- Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan
- Employment Insurance’s Work-Sharing Adjustment Program
